Gaethje scored a monumental TKO upset victory over Ferguson on Saturday, winning the interim lightweight championship in the process. All Ferguson had to show for his trouble, however, was a badly bloodied face and a big ego check.

With the win, Gaethje will now set his sights to Khabi Nurmagomedov to replace the “interim” in his light heavyweight title with “undisputed.”
