Campana, 28, signed a minor-league deal in the offseason after spending time with the Angels, Diamondbacks and Cubs over four major-league seasons. He totaled a career-best 30 stolen bases with the Cubs in 2012.
Campana was expected to compete for a utility outfield role with the White Sox.
