The new pictures highlight some of the exclusive areas that gamers will be exploring once the games hit retail, but they are far from an exciting portion of media that’ll get a fan’s blood pumping. Instead, they show off a very familiar look and feel, as well as a couple of version exclusive features, new allies, and the previously revealed Keldeo in its new form.
Black 2 and White 2 appear to be the sequels that everyone was expecting (and that is by no means a bad thing), but the gameplay depicted in the pictures definitely won’t blow longtime followers away. The images reflect the Japanese versions of the games, so while there is dialogue pertaining to the story of each title, it won’t spoil any major plot points for readers that aren’t fluent in the language.

Both games can be caught in Japan later this month — on June 23rd to be more precise — but no additional information has emerged on when they’ll finally be released in North America. Nintendo has remained quiet on the localization process for the set of follow-ups, and didn’t even bother touching on either of these alleged blockbusters during their E3 2012 press conference. Since Black 2 and White 2 have a launch window of “this Fall” however, more details should be cascading over the heads of Pokemon fans very soon.
