Sony kicked things off by making the 2016 Ratchet & Clank re-imagining free for a limited time, which it followed up by making a whopping nine PS4 games free to claim and download. The games available are a mix of critically-acclaimed PS4 indie games and well-received PlayStation VR titles. Anyone that’s interested in adding these games to their collection on PS4 and PS5 should act fast, however, as they will soon be removed from the Play at Home program.

Fans have until 8pm PT tonight to claim these free PlayStation Play at Home games. The lineup includes Abzu, Enter the Gungeon, Rez Infinite, Subnautica, and The Witness for non-VR games, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Moss, Paper Beast, and Thumper for VR games. While these are all PS4 games, they are all playable on PS5, though fans will need to request an adaptor from Sony to use PlayStation VR on the new console.
While these nine games are leaving the PlayStation Play at Home program tonight, there should be more free games for fans to look forward to. This time around, Sony promised four months of free game offerings, and the free titles for May and June have yet to be revealed. In the meantime, PlayStation gamers can still claim Horizon Zero Dawn for free after tonight, though they only have until May 14 at 8pm PT to do so.
Sony has yet to reveal the next free PlayStation Play at Home offerings, but there are some theories. Ratchet & Clank was the first headlining free game and it released in 2016. Horizon Zero Dawn is the big PlayStation Play at Home free game for April, and it released in 2017. The theory is that the next free game, presumably to be released in May, will be a title from 2018. This has led to a lot of speculation that God of War could be the next free game, but that’s just speculation.
Whatever Sony has in store for the next batch of PlayStation Play at Home free games, fans should make sure they claim the nine free titles available now while they still can.
